As ever, I accidentally came across this artist on Flickr, username is Ekundayo

I love his work, it's so unique and he has a great talent. Work like this isn't something you see a lot, It's always nice to see something different.

It reminds me a lot of the fauvism movement where natural colours were replaced by colour that in reality wouldnt be there. All images were taken from the artists flickr photostream.

So I wanted to post a blog about Jim Houser, because I LOVE his work its amazing.

I really love the colours that he uses, they work so nice together & really work for the type of art that he does. I think the colours are sort of relaxing, like really calm.

I also think he's someone that really lives in his artwork. That his home is also his work of art, from the photos i've seen it's almost as though like someone who has a home like a show home, particular and organised with their house and its appearance, Jim Houser uses his as part of his creative outlet and reflects his 'signature' especially with the colour scheme.

This is my most recent set on Polyvore, it was inspired by the image of the models with the sunglasses and i could totally imagine them in an outfit like this. I really really love the dress & the shoes, don't think I could pull it off but I'd like to :P. Maybe for next summer, who knows? Included a few butterflies as the print on the top centre of the dress made me think of butterflies, the shape and how it was repeated identically on the opposite side, like the wings of a butterfly.

So i was on Prezzybox.com & I came across these really nice bath lights, & since i'm back home now i've been having loadsa baths cos i dont have one back in manchester :( boo. & whenever I have my own bath I'm soooooo buying some of these.

they look sooo relaxing, I'd stay in the bath for hours.

£30 spend it wisely

So I got £30 off my nan today & since I should spend it wisely I really thought about what I could use it for. Sooo I figured new Jeans. I have like 3 pairs of jeans because buying jeans is a total nightmare for me. I'm real short & I have a small waist of 26". I haven't shopped for jeans in about 2 years because it is so disappointing! So I've had a look around for some cute jeans, [Oh & I only wear skinnies] & found these:

I really love the shape of the 1st one, and i really prefer darker denim to light.

Saying that though I did find some really nice lighter denim ones too. I really love the 1st ones, i love the vintage wash to them. I also like the 2nd from last with the little rips at the knees. I saw a pic of Mary Kate Olsen in a pair like those and they looked so cute.

Lou P & white space is good

I stumbled accross the user Lou P on Polyvore and really loved her creativity with her sets. I'd love to try my own in her style. I could imagine these lain out in a sketch book & how inspiring it would be. The user name makes me laugh because when you say it, it says Loopy ;D!

At first glance I didn't like them though, I didn't get why the clothes were resized so small, & why there was so much white space. But when I really looked at them I could appreciate them more. It's like these sets say more than fashion, they tell a story. & then I remembered my first styling lesson & that white space is good. :)

I love super adorable kitchens [obviously designed by woman ;P] I really love lots of white and then bright colours that really POP out at you :D. I cant wait till I have my own place I can decorate :D. Definitely loving the vintage inspired kitchens, and shabby chic/french style, goooorgeous -aahhh.

I bought a cute tin box from paperchase a while ago, it wasnt hello kitty though, boo :( but it was cute nonetheless, & it's been so useful aswell as looking pretty. I could find something to put in them even if i had 20 0:).

I have to note that isnt me in the photo but our hair is pretty much identical. Okay so I thought i'd make a set of what I wore today, which i guess is quite literally outfit of the day :P. I got the yellow skirt from H&M it was a christmas present but i get to have it now, I loooove it. Was actually looking for a white one, but chose the yellow as 2nd best, but i think i like it more than white ones now anyway. That shirt isn't exactly the one i got, i bought this super cute oversized one from H&M which is the same shape as the republic one below. I have pink shoes in a lighter shade than those and rounded, but those were too adorable, i'd love a pair. & some lovely grey footless tights that go soooo nice with the yellow skirt and pink shoes, & of course my white vintage handbag that I love love love that i got for £1, wheyy!

So today I went to Wrexham. It was really, really depressing, i'd never been before & had high hopes.. I was gutted. I can't believe people go to uni there, WHY?. ♥ Highlight: Nandos and H&M ♥

Sometimes i think If I didn't ask him to call, he wouldn't. If I didn't ask when I'm gonna see him again, I probably wouldn't see him again, at least not for about 2 weeks. I'm tired.

There hasn't been many outfits I've really liked lately but I really love how sweet this one is. It's so romantic. Love the Chanel accessories and the shoes with the bows are gorgeous. Bows work so great on shoes, instantly makes them so pretty and sweet.

So yesterday I decided it'd be a ~~good~~ idea to bleach my hair. So it came out Orange at the roots, and lemon at the lengths which I didn't think it would because my colour was only a medium blonde. And obviously, my boyfriend *reluctantly* was doing it and was slowwww.
I used to bleach it for the past 2 years but in summer went darker. Got bored of it, for some reason there's something just -not boring- about being bleach blonde.

My boyfriend was trying to get photo's of me and I was not having it :'[. These are his attempts at catching me on camera aha:

I love deviantart, I often forget about it because I like flickr a lot too. I do think its better than Flickr in that you don't tend to have profiles and profiles that just post holiday snapshots. It is pretty much just artists, photographers [etc, etc].

I thought I'd make a post of my favourite Momiji dolls ^_^
My favourites are the ones with the 'box hair' I think they are soooo adorable.

They also have special edition ones which I've only see in pictures aswell, they are definitely not easy to get hold of. I found this image on flickr, & this is the first momiji dolls I have seen like this! I absolutely love them I wish they were easier to get hold of.

So my nan came to visit me the other day, and she bought me a really cute Momiji mug, with cupcakes all over it and a little blonde momiji girl. They have little messages inside at the bottom, mine says: You're a cupcake pixie from a magic land. Soo sweet :) I couldn't really find many photos of the one i own, but I came across some other cutey ones.

I would love to collect them all. I don't have enough cute mugs :P!

I was clearing out my Bookmarks and came across twocollect which I don't ever remember bookmarking but can totally understand why I did! I absolutely loved their layout for a start & think any art/illustration portfolio based website should always be creative, this one most definitely is.

The layout makes you curious straight away. I absolutely love the illustrations behind the menu, so unique and quite strange, but you can't help but find them really, really amazing.
However, the site did take ages to load for me ¬_¬ & I'm impatient!

Ohhhhhh I actually love this outfit, its really sweet, I love the skirt & shoes. I know it's actually really simple but there's just something appealing about it. I love that colour pink, I don't think I own anything this colour which means I'll have to get it. Yep. HAVE to.

& I'm seriously pissed that I ~~meast~~ (meast, wtf?) missed the Work Fair at uni today. If the ATM had money i'd have been on that train and there in a flash.
Note to self: Always carry a tenner.

So yesterday I went to Waterstones mainly because my boyfriend wanted to look, I buy all my books on-line - much cheaper. So I went to the interior design part and came across some really nice books, there were a series of them, Paris style, New York style and Tuscany style (Icon Series). I absolutely loved the Paris and the Tuscany one, the NY one was really nice and inspirational too, but it just lacks everything that the Paris and Tuscany ones have. The images are beautiful, and at the start of all the books there are pages and pages of old black and white photos of Paris/Tuscany/New York, which are just fantastic to see.

As you can see the images are gorgeous, they're really inspirational books and give you fantastic ideas for your home. These were VERY cheap on Amazon.co.uk - The New York Style is going from £1.08!

There is quite a collection of these books i found from looking on Amazon, there's a London style and a China one, I bet they are just as amazing. There are also ones such as Minimal style, its worth searching for Icon Series and see what you find.
-sigh- And i'm off to buy them now!

I saw this and thought it was super cute. And the pug tee is love, it's from 80's P urple which has really cool clothes, reminds me a lot of the online shop ASOS for the UK.. even down to the layout... The skirt which is actually a tunic is from Groove-market which has some cute, fun clothes.

I came across this website with amazing metalwork furniture, it's really beautiful and different. Such as these beds for example:

They are so creative, a really nice idea for a bed, like your very own nest in a tree. I do think though however that i would prefer a bed like this made from wood, there's something about it being metal which i think in front of your eyes would be disapointing? Maybe the pictures make it look better? The first one is $15,000, there was no price with the second one.

I'm visiting Manchester on the 22nd, and i've saved my money to get some outfits while im there :D. I so can't wait to move back, only 5 weeks left!! So I'm really trying to collect some fashion/outfit ideas to grab while i'm there. This is one of them i'm gonna try to get, i obviously wont be able to get exactly those things, but I'm sure Manchester will have something similar to offer.

When i'm back home for the summer i really dress down. People just don't dress the same in the country as they do in the city. So i'm soo excited to get back to Manchester and wear whatever without feeling too dressed up.

And o.m.g I am really loving ankle boots/boot shoes (whatever). I love these ones with the butterfly. I hope I can find some because there doesnt seem to be any round here :(!

A fresh start

I had a blog for a few months, but it became sort of annoying because i was unable to keep up with it, the main problem being i have no internet at home for the entire break because I'm back at home for the summer. So my recent posts became out of date, I'll be able to keep up with this because i think I'll be visiting the internet cafe a lot since i've had bad luck at getting a part time summber job! Major boo hoo at me :(!
